GENERAL STUFF

Do you deliver all images or charge extra beyond a number of photos?

As our client you will receive all the good shots we took during the day. We discard photos like test shots, out of focus shots, bad facial expressions, and duplicate shots. We do not want our clients to go through the tedious process of surfing through a bazillion photos and make a selection. We do that for you and make sure you get only good shots that are professionally edited and look crisp and beautiful. You will get access to all the good pictures, after all, they are your memories.

Do you provide videography services?

Have you ever shot at my venue?

We most certainly would have. If not, we are always prepared and geared up for all lighting situations and do whatever it takes to make your photos shine.

Do you provide destination wedding services?

Yes we do. We have shot in Paris, Cuba, Singapore, Hong Kong and a ton of other places. Our destination packages are simple. Choose a standard wedding package and just add the cost of flights and lodging. We do not charge extra for destination weddings.

What if my ceremony is of a different culture and language?

No worries. We have shot many cultural weddings / events and portraits. We discuss the important shots with you and make sure that those are taken. We understand that all cultures have different rituals, and we are experienced with capturing those moments.

PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE

What is your photography and edit style?

We believe that a photograph is freezing a moment in time. That moment in time should be reflected in the most beautiful way possible. Our style is vibrant, happy and sometimes moody. There is this moody and dark trend in the photography industry which we do not necessarily adhere to. It works in some situations but mostly not. Couples spend a lot of time selecting the right colors for the wedding. It will only be unfaithful to change/alter them for a moody style. Some weddings shot at rustic venues, do look good in a dark moody edit. But not all.

During the shoot day we try and cover all important events and a lots of candids. Candid’s capture special moments, emotions and joy that a posed photo might not. We also try and get a lot of shots for moments the bride/groom would otherwise miss.

My venue is dark and moody. Are you geared up for that?

Yes. We are ready for any lighting situation. We tend not to overuse flash and external lighting but add them just for lighting faces. This ensures that the mood of the venue is not lost (aka flashy lit photographs). We have best the cameras and lenses in the industry that help us get the shot that we want.

Do you edit all images?

Yes. We shoot in RAW format which in simple terms are digital negatives. They need to be edited to get to an usable photo format. We edit all photos for correct exposure, color, lighting, highlights, shadows and skin tones. Our next step is to add color grades to make them look beautiful. For portraits, we take an additional step and do blemish removal, skin color calibration and adding certain effects to make the portrait stand out.

SHOOT DAY QUESTIONS

When does your shoot time start?

Our time starts at the point when you booked us from. For example if you booked us from 1pm till 8pm, it will only start at 1pm. We do arrive at shoots a little earlier to gear up and get ready for the day. During the shoot day we try and cover all important events and a lots of candids. Candid’s capture special moments, emotions and joy that a posed photo might not. We also try and get a lot of shots for moments the bride/groom would otherwise miss.

What happens if we need additional shoot time?

We simply add time as per prorated cost billed in 30 min segments.

DELIVERY QUESTIONS

What are my rights with my photos?

We provide print rights to your photos for all bookings. You are free to print with us or any other printer. We do not allow selling the photos for profits without our consent.

Can I get RAW unedited images?

We do a lot of post processing to deliver the best image quality. Since we shoot in RAW format you might not have the right software for opening those. Having said that, some couples do want a copy of their RAW images and we can provide that on special request. Please bear in mind though, that the RAW files are tremendously different from the edited ones and most likely unusable in their native format.

What if I lose my images?

We try to maintain a backup of every project. You are free to ask for a download link in case you lose your photos. If a lot of time has passed we might not have the images any longer.

What are the delivery timelines?

We deliver most photography assets within 10-15 days (depending on the size of the wedding)

Videos are delivered in 20-25 days. Delivery dates may vary a bit for multi day weddings. But we generally like to stick to the aforementioned timelines.

EQUIPMENT QUESTIONS

What type of camera/equipment do you use?

We use the highest quality gear to shoot weddings. Leica cameras and lenses are our preferred choice of gear. Please check out our gear page for details

PAYMENT AND TAX QUESTIONS

How do I make a reservation?

We reserve our day with you once the contract has been signed and a 20% deposit is received. You can use our proposal sent out to you on email to book us.

Is there an additional fee if we pay via credit card?

Currently, we do not charge any additional fee.

If we cancel the wedding, will we receive our retainer fee back?

If you cancel your wedding for self appointed reasons and inform us 180 days in advance, we will refund your deposit. If you reschedule for personal reasons, we will reschedule as well. no extra charges as long as we are available. If your wedding gets rescheduled due to reasons beyond your control like lockdowns, acts of God, etc etc. we simply reschedule our booking according to your new date. If the same reason ends up in a cancellation (a recent example being COVID), we will refund your deposit.

Are there travel fees associated with the engagement session and/or wedding day shoot(s)?

Our packages have travel costs included for NC, SC and some parts of VA. We charge travel and accommodation for destination weddings.
